[...] I asked you a week ago which format you would prefer: physical or digital, and boy, you guys came out of the woodwork to voice your opinion about it. I’m so glad that you did, because I had been debating it back and forth for weeks. [...]

I generally prefer the pre-printed. If it's a pdf, I have to print it, bind or staple it, and keep up with it.

I think you should do both. I loved the layout of the first zine and I'm happy enough to pay the $7 to have something printed out, but a .pdf only option would be good for those who are more frugal.

I think Amy might be referring to the dangers of bringing a laptop into the kitchen to refer to a pdf recipe while cooking.

My vote is for both. The beauty of zines isn't just the content itself, but the layout and presentation - having something tactile in your hand. That said, I would prefer a pdf book (especially since the shorter length makes it perfect to print at home.) Easier to keep and refer to on the computer, for me, anyway, and the less expensive format also makes it more accessible.

And... hooray for the new zine! I'm really looking forward to it!

I think-please correct me if I'm wrong-Amy means that you have to print the recipes anyway or risk damaging your laptop by having it in the kitchen to read from. Which is risky, risky business for us messy cooks. I totally killed my old laptop by knocking it off the counter while cooking a recipe I had on it. And I'm still bitter even though it was totally my fault.

Amy - can you please explain what you mean by that? I have never heard that keeping PDFs on your computer risked damage. I have at least 2 dozen PDFs saved on my hard drive right now and haven't experienced any problems.
